The detector has a convenient adhesive strip on the back, and mounts almost anywhere. Shelf life in an unopened pack is three years. Once opened it should be replaced approximately every 60 days. The detector is made of non-toxic materials, making it safe for use around children or pets. It can detect as little as 100 ppm carbon monoxide gas.
